Privacy Policy
How IP Plastering Ltd handles the information you send through this website. Last updated September 2026.
Who I am
IP Plastering Ltd is a plastering business run by Ian Probert, working across Portsmouth and Hampshire. The company is registered in England and Wales under company number 14999660, with its registered office at 14 Howard Road, Portsmouth, England, PO2 9PS. For the purposes of UK data protection law, IP Plastering Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach me on 07748 024898 or through the contact form on this site.
What I collect
If you fill in the quote form I collect the name, phone number, email address, service type and job details you give me. Nothing else on this site asks you for personal information. I do not collect payment details through the website, and I do not run accounts or logins for customers.
Why I use it
I use the details you send purely to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a quote and carry out the work if you go ahead. If you become a customer I may keep a record of the job so I can answer questions about it later or honour the workmanship guarantee.
My lawful basis
Replying to an enquiry and quoting for work is handled on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Keeping job records afterwards is handled on the basis of my legitimate interest in running the business, standing behind my work and meeting my legal and tax obligations.
Who sees it
Nobody buys or receives your details for marketing. Enquiries are delivered to my email inbox and are handled by me. The website is hosted by my hosting provider and email is delivered by my email provider, both of whom process the data on my instructions. Plausible Analytics processes anonymous, aggregated visit data only and never sees your enquiry. I do not sell or share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within about 24 months. Records relating to completed jobs are kept for six years, which is the period during which a claim relating to the work could still be brought and which also covers HMRC record-keeping requirements.
Cookies
This site uses Plausible Analytics to count visits. Plausible is a privacy-focused, EU-hosted service that sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across websites or build a profile of you, so no cookie banner is needed. There are no advertising or third-party marketing scripts on the site. Your browser may store a small number of strictly necessary cookies needed for the site and its security to work. If anything that tracks individuals is added later, this page will be updated and a cookie notice will appear first.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Ask me on 07748 024898 or through the contact form and I will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you think I have handled your information badly, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Questions about your details?
Give me a ring and ask – I’ll tell you exactly what I hold and delete it if you want me to.
