Portchester is largely 1930s to 1960s housing, with a good number of properties close enough to the harbour to feel the weather. Exterior render takes the brunt of it, and salt-laden air is unforgiving on older sand-and-cement.

Inside, the usual jobs are ceiling re-skims and taking walls back where old wallpaper has been holding the surface together. I will always tell you if patching will do rather than selling you a full re-plaster.
